The HSA150R battery-powered single-sided hedge trimmer is an extremely powerful and robust professional hedge trimmer that has been designed to take on the toughest, most demanding work a professional working in landscaping and garden maintenance may face. Comparable in performance to the petrol-powered HS87 hedge trimmer counterpart, this tool is part of the AP System of battery tools and is powered by a 36v lithium-ion AP battery, which offers long-working times, constant power, low vibrations and is extremely quiet to use too!

The HSA150R is designed for annual pruning of hedges and reduction work, and features a low blade speed and a single-sided cutting blade with 38 mm wide tooth spacing to efficiently cut thicker twigs and branches precisely with a constant stroke rate. The speed of the hedge trimmer can be adjusted between 2,800, 3,000 or 3,200 rpm depending on the hedge you are working on.

A battery slot in the tool means you don’t need to wear a battery on your belt or back when using the HSA150R. The design of the hedge trimmer has been optimised to offer the best ergonomics for you. When using the recommended AP200S battery you will have perfect balance, making use over long periods of time more comfortable. The HSA150R is IPX4 rated for water resistance, meaning it can be used in all adverse weather conditions. A rotating handle on the tool means you can tackle hedges of all shapes and sizes from all types of angles - and you can best suit the hedge trimmer to the top or side of the hedge you are cutting.

The HSA150R has an anti-jamming function so if the cutters get stuck on thicker branches then the tool will help release the jam. When you release the trigger and then pull it again, the blades will move in the opposite direction. A new gearbox system on the HSA150R works in perfect harmony with the EC motor to deliver an extremely high cutting force and quick acceleration to the required blade speed.

With the recommended AP200S battery you can get 100-150 minutes working time on a single charge. If you need longer, you can use the AP300S or AP500S batteries to extend the working time but be aware that this will increase the overall weight and affect the balance of the hedge trimmer.

Trimming Variation (T)
The T variations of STIHL hedge trimmers provide the perfect trimming and shaping of hedges and shrubs. Thanks to the blade shape with smaller tooth spacing and lower tooth height in conjunction with the gearing for a high stroke rate, more specific shapes can also be achieved.

Adaptable Speed
With the 3-level adjustable blade stroke rate, you can select the right blade speed for every task. You can easily adjust the hedge trimmer using the control cockpit on the rotatable multi-function handle. As the control cockpit rotates with the handle, the switch is always within easy reach, regardless of the handle position.

Blade Scabbard
Transport and store your hedge trimmer and shrub shears safely and securely with the tailor-made blade scabbard.

Tip Protector
The tip protector prevents damage to the blades. The tip protector also makes it easier to cut close to the ground or along walls.

Screw-On Cut Protection
Screw-on cut protection increases your safety, for example when trimming hedges. If the cut protection tip wears out, you can easily replace it.

EC Motor
Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC motor enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

Smart Connector
The tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system.

Anti-Vibratation System
Vibrations can occur when you put your tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.

Constant Power
