In 1862 Göran Fredrik Göransson founded Högbo Stål and Jernwerks AB in Sweden to produce the highest quality steel, pioneering the Bessemer process and unknowingly laying the groundwork for our first saw blade. Göran used the high quality steel, previously moulded to make fish hooks, to begin the production of our first saw blades. To communicate their quality, every blade carried the Fish and Hook trademark.
